The Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) is a network of over 5,500 college students who are developing innovative solutions to pressing global issues. CGI U hosts an annual meeting for students to cultivate their ideas, gain valuable skills, make important connections, and learn from some of the most effective leaders in the public, private, and NGO sectors. Our commitment was featured at this conference, so we were asked to showcase our project.

Marianna Marques, Founder and Co-leader of Trinidad School of Nursing, attended this conference and heard from former president Bill Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, Sal Khan, and other influential leaders working towards social progress. While connecting with CGI U student leaders, she met a Honduran student currently residing in the capital of the country, and he agreed to help our team on the ground. Marianna also participated in leadership, team-building, and fundraising workshops in which she further developed necessary skills for social entrepreneurship.
