One of our project leaders, Marianna Marques, is currently in Trinidad meeting with community members, performing a needs assessment, and meeting with potential students and other key stakeholders. Early reports are that demand for the school is very high and people are incredibly excited! We are already using the research from Marianna's trip to improve our model -- for example, due to the demand and high number of vacancies for nursing jobs in the area, we will be increasing the size of our first class from 10 to 20. We also concluded, with input from community members, that a student stipend would not be necessary. More details to come soon!
